Question by Height question guru!: Grow taller diet/food ideas?
OK, I need ideas for foods that are high in the following
* Whey protein
* Vitamins A, C, D and K
* Calcium
* Magnesium
* Phosphorus
* Zinc
* Folic Acid
* Glucosamine
* L-Arginine Pyroglutamate
* L-Dopa
Any other foods which may help in bone formation, the release of HGH/IGF-1/Insulin, Muscle Development and inhibition of Estrogen/Osteoclasts are appreciated too. But what foods contain whats on the list, and in the highest quantities.
Please note: I am very scammer aware. I know that the products “Super-Growth” and “Sato-Growth” are scams. So anyone who says that they work is a scammer, please block and report them.
Oh, and if your interested, I want to go from 5’9.5″ to 6’0″-6’5″ at the end of this SCHOOL year. I am 13.
Did I say that I was certainly going to be 6’5″? I said that I wanted that, but I never said it was possible! I am fully aware that diet is not the only thing playing a part in HI.
But, I don’t thunk you sound like my mum, I thik you sound like someone who knows their stuff.
BUT, a man DID gain 1 inch every month for a year at 20 years old. But thi was a late growth spurt cominded wih exercises and mental stimulation (or hynosis).
And my last queston is, can you get Arginine Pyroglutamte in food?

You are going to grow, you’re still a kid! You will be growing until you are 17-21! If you get lucky with a growth spurt this year, you might hit 6’0 within a year, but 6’5 in a few months? Don’t be ridiculous.
Nutrition is only one part, and even perfect nutrition will not make a giant out of someone genetically predisposed to being short.
Your grocery list of components could be satisfied by a healthy, diverse diet.
I hate to sound like your mom, but eat your vegetables.Especially leafy ones and brightly colored ones. Eat your beans, legumes, nuts, lean meats. A plate of beans and rice will give you all essential amino acids. Calcium can be found in green leafy veggies, almonds, and tofu. Oysters and cabbage are great sources of zinc. Magnesium can be found in nuts, seeds, fish and tofu.
If you really think you need whey protein, go buy a supplement, but please don’t go over board, that stuff is marketed furiously and probably a waste of your money.
Edit-
Arginine, the non-essential amino acid, can be found in dairy products, wheat germ, oatmeal, granola, some seeds and nuts, soybeans and chickpeas. I had honestly never heard of
Arginine Pyroglutamate, so I just looked it up.
It is not referenced once in the AMA’s complete food and nutrition “bible”… I did a search on Medline (medical and nutritional journals) and the only references where in pharmacology. I tried a google search and only found websites selling supplements…it sounds synthetic to me but there is so little information on it.
Edit 2: arginine can be found in meat and seafood, as well, my partner just reminded me.
