In the sports war on drugs, steroids is heroin and HGH is marijuana. Unlike steroids, growth hormone hasn’t been shown to increase weight-lifting ability; in the lab, it has a greater effect on muscle definition than muscle strength. And it doesn’t seem to help much with cardiovascular fitness, either. So, why do so many athletes take HGH and steroids?

Steroids and HGH have different side effects. Some of the side of effects of HGH use are: elevated blood pressure and achy joints. Steroids on the other hand have much nastier side effects than HGH. Many of the side effects of steroid use are different in men and women.

Injectable hgh is the FDA approved, extremely expensive form. Physicians administering HGH for preventative/ anti-aging purposes utilize in the region of 0.01mg to 0.02mg of HGH per kg of body weight (2.2 lbs) per week. This is injected subcutaneously (just under the skin) divided into 3 to 5 injections per week. It is important to ensure that blood levels of HGH are monitored before and during the program and that a full check-up by an Anti-Aging Physician is performed before the course of HGH injections begin.
